I just realized the original for my [livejournal.com profile] remixredux is about 450 words. And the minimum words for me are 500. *growls* Oh well, I'll go and add a lot. Later. Because I've still haven't written anything else. And I didn't do practically any homework. *fails at life*

I went to see Memoirs of a Geisha today, and I loved it. The magic from the book was really well captured, and the pace didn't feel as hurried as it could have. The visual part... That was simply gorgeous. Too beautiful and too well done. *drools* the colors!! (why yes, I am a color whore.) I'm not that happy with the crappy accents one has to endure, and Sayuri's voice, especially bugger me a bit. It's too soft, somehow. But in all, it was really, really, good, and I wouldn't mind seeing it again. Brokeback Mountain tomorrow, if I'm lucky *crosses fingers*

Now, the most important part of the post: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO [livejournal.com profile] giventofly37!! Hope you have a wonderful time, hon!

Gluttony
Harry/Ron - 137 Words

“Your birthday was four days ago,” says Harry matter-of-factly as Ron sets the cake on the table, and Ron only smiles cryptically in that way that always makes his stomach turn upside down.

“I know.” He curls a hand around Harry’s coat collar, and drags him up for a first kiss, all frantic touches and flushed cheeks in the dark. He moves Harry around until he’s sitting on the kitchen counter, arms around his neck and gazed look, glasses lopsided. “You still owe me a birthday present, anyway.”

Ron eats the cake off him, and Harry manages to get chocolate icing all over Ron’s face with his enthusiastic hands. He licks it off, and Ron doesn’t seem to mind at all.

(He can never manage to eat cake without turning scarlet for the rest of his life).

And I didn't do practically any homework.

Homework is overrated. I say we just stop doing it all together.

We should!! forget about school and go live under bridges. Close to a cafe, of course, so I still get the free internet XD

Hehe, Harry/Ron takes a certain mood to write, but it's real fun sometimes :) *corrupts you some more*

I'm glad to hear it's good! I want to see it. Lol, My great Uncle wrote about his trip to Japan and called it "Memoirs of A Geezer". That explains it. colors are pretty, hopefully you'll get to see brokeback mountain.

O_o' I'll never look at cake the same way again. Well written even if i'm not a fan of the pair

Oh, Harry/Ron is brilliant, while on the appropiate mood XD (and if, the author has given Hermione a good life. Only that way.) Thaaanks!

Well, I haven't read that much of them, since my guilty pleasure is H/D *is ashamed* but this one is wonderful:

Close Enough (http://www.helenish.net/closeenough.shtml).

I've written two or three H/R fics, for christmas, mostly. They're tagged, I think...

Memoirs of a Geisha was so beautiful. I've read the book as well, but I was always a little bit disappointed with the way Hatsumomo left, I felt like she was such a villain and clever that she would have managed have an amazing exit. So I was glad to see that she set the house on fire, at least.

I'm not sure what you meant by accents? Did you want the movie to be in Japanese? Because none of the actresses first languages are English.

Ugh, yeah, I never did like Hatsumomo that much in the book (since I'm not a villian kinda gal XD), But in the movie, wow, she steals the show.

What I mean is that I don't think anyone can act as good as in their native languages. The actress playing Hatsumomo, for example, was marvelous, but if she had screamed like that in chinese or japanese or whatever her first language is, man, that would've been chilling. I dunno, if your doing a movie in japan, at least the people should speak japanese. All of the movies I see have subtitles anyway. *shrug*

Hatsumomo wasn't my favorite either, but I just like how horrible she was, she added a bit of spice to the story.

Oh I see what you mean, my sister said the same thing when we went to see the movie. Since it's a big budget film, they're going to do in English and since the novel was originally in English, then it was bound to be in English. Because there was no way the this Hollywood movie was going to in another language, I think Mel Gibson is the only that does something like that. hee. Which was one of my problems with 'Frida' actually, I wish that movie had been in Spanish.

Yeah, I know, but... It always bugs me when say, corean people speak in english with each other only because most americans can't be arsed with subtitles. They're nice, and they're pretty little letters and I heart them a lot. XD

Can you believe I haven't seen Frida? And I really should because both Diego and Frida were such awesome painters, and well, hellooooo Diego Luna... :)

I'm a fan of Mandarin actually I think it sounds very beautiful. Also another thing, the two main actresses were Chinese and not Japanese, so I don't know if they knew Japanese. I remember that was a big controversy.

I can't believe it!! If you have time you should watch it! I think it's a must actually, a must! And Salma was beautiful and amazing in it!
