I just joined the Tenth Doctor Ficathon. *headdesk* WHY DO I KEEP DOING THIS TO MYSELF, OMG?
onadancefloor and
dzturtlepower, I'm looking at you. Sign up now so I don't have to suffer alone ;-;
Now, a bit of reviwing. (Gee, I haven't done one of these in a while, have I?)
Doctor Who 2x11 - Fear Her: Oh, the details. The details were so good: The TARDIS having to turn so they can get out, that was so cute. That opening sequence, with the boy trapped in the paper and running forward was so utterly chilling. I loved how unhuman the Doctor is in this episode - we hardly ever see that - with him feeling energy, and being near psychic and reading minds AGAIN. "The back of my hairy manly hand" OMG LOVE. Lonely much? Could you be anymore subtle RTD?
I adored the interaction between the Doctor and Rose in here, they're never over the top, and they're independent enough from each other to make them seem strong - especially Rose, who was AWESOME in this one and ooh, but the season finale will be much more painful after this ;-; WHY, OH WHY?? Ten and Rose will never be as believable as Nine and Rose where, but they were so great in this one.
TEN LICKING HIS MERMELADE-COVERED FINGERS. Need I say more? *fans herself*.
nostalgia_lj was saying in her journal how the Doctor craves love so much, how he latches on everything he can, and I really like the paralellism with the little flower-like alien (I can't remember the name...), even when the ending was CHEESY. *eyeroll*
Rose's "But who's going to hold his hand now?" broke my heart. ROSE/PICK-AXE= OTP.Bellino Nina was really cool (although let's hope this HORRIBLE KIDS curse doesn't translate to her real life. What's better, anyway? Alien-possesed sociopath or lusty incestuous bitch?). The monster going down the stairs didn't really scare me.
"I was a dad once," = best line of the episode. Lovely respose from Rose, too. The shippines was so well done, and the ending was just bittersweet - too cheerful for the forshadowing.
I loved the episode, even if not as much as the TIP/SP combo.
I'm itching to write, and yet nothign seem to come up. *sigh*

I haven't watched the preview yet, I want to have at least a little surprise, even if I already know I'll cry like a baby in two weeks time ;-;
Yayz, a Rose-liker! I really don't get why all the BNFs hate her so much...

Rose is absolutely brilliant. I can see why she might have a bit irritating for a couple of weeks when she went through a jealous patch, but for the past few episodes she's been fantastic! I really don't know how I'm going to cope with a new assistant... a new doctor was alright because it was still the same person, essentially. But this will be a whole new character and a new dynamic and IT WON'T BE THE SAME.

I know, I really can't think of Doctor Who without Rose, but that might be because she's my first companion, and I didn't grew up with the show so I'm not used to the Doctor's
sluttynessnecessity to move on.(no subject)
Hear me out! I have seven minutes before i leave work (*shifty eyes*...i'm working... honest...). here's the thing. The Doctor didn't do anything. Rose did all the hard work. The doctor got snatched away early on and it was up to Rose to fix everything. Yeah, he helped, but... Rose has grown to be his equal. The Doctor can't have an equal. Therefore, she has to die. She's lost her interesting-ness. I mean, yeah, she's still a great character. But the balance between her and the Doctor has grown to something that is no longer integral to the story and which cannot be sustained for very long. So... she has to go. It absolutely breaks my heart, but that was the subtle allusion I got from that episode.
The whole "loneliness" thing has been pounded into this season, hasn't it? 0.o
Aaaand... I don't know if I'm up to writing fic. At least... nothing so intense as a ficathon... 0.o We'll see. But best of luck to you, dear!

Not as much as fricking Torchwood, it hasn't. *is bitter but is still going to watch the series in teh fall*
Aaah, come on. I haven't written that much for it either (and I'd like to do so before we have to put a warning to Ten/Rose for 'AU').

Ahhh, yes, but the whole Torchwood thing is 1)an anagram of Doctor Who and 2)Just like the "Bad Wolf" thing from last season -- little clues all along the way. It would seem they're taking a hint or two from LOST 0.o Which makes me squee at the possibilities of LOST/Doctor Who crossover fic. Hmm.
Sigh, I know, I know. I have to wait till this weekend, at the very least. :-P

Well, in part, but in the other is just cheap for publicity for Captain Jack's spin-off series... Which they could have done WAY more subtly. 'Bad Wolf' was executed so very well, and it just didn't happen the same with Torchwood. But oh well, we'll have to see how it'll play in the finale. Mmm, LOST/Doctor Who crossover, shounds shiny. *prods* doitdoitdoitdoit
