The boy got me a book for my birthday that he'd already bought for me while I was there in summer. That's. lol. Oh, that boy. I not so subtly nudged him towards a lovely necklace for urban outfiters (as in, linked him to the online shop and stuff.) But NO, he wanted to get me the book he'd already got me!
The Matrix was on tv just now - it's been over ten years, and it's surprising how little dated it looks. I mean, some scenes are a bit pastiche by now, considering they've been used to exhaustion in parodies or recicled in new action films, but it still holds on reasonably well. And no matter what people may think of the sequels (and I don't dislike them nearly as much as the rest of the world does), it's still such a great movie. Now I really feel like rewatching the Animatrix.
One of my male 15 year old cousins posted something along the lines of 'so-and-so looks so GAY, LULZ' in facebook, and after a long thread of this going on with his friends, when I pointed out that they were being disrespectful twats, they just laughed. GREAT. Thanks for destroying my faith in today's youth, dear godson of mine. UGH.
