For starters, they sounded just as good as they do in their albums, with the added bonus of that energy you can only get from live perfomances. I love that about a band, when it really does look like they're just as excited about playing as the crowd of being there. There's a term in Spanish, 'deshacerse' which doesn't translate well because it means 'break apart' but it's somewhat of a profound joy of doing what you're doing. Travis definitely had it. ♥

It was such a long gig! 2 hours 15 minutes, give or take. YAYZ. So there were A LOT of songs - from all of their albums, even from Good Feeling. Fran kept on talking in between the songs and kept on saying hi to the people across the street watching from an apartment window (when they didn't wave back, he said "bah, they probably must be watching Coldplay on DVD," LOL). He also told a couple of stories behind songs, which rocked, AND THERE WAS THE CLAUS NAMING MEME-ISH THING. HEE. I didn't know they were also doing that for the latinamerican tour, I thought it'd only happen in the European one.

The dude in front of me was INSANELY tall (which isn't hard to achieve when you're a MIDGET like I am - I'm 1.58, 5'2'' according to the internetz) so I ended up standing on my tiptoes for most of the concert, which, let me tell you, HURTS. BUT IT WAS WORTH IT.

So everyone rocked, Fran sang his heart out and climbed into the drums, the guitarist, whose name I forget, jumped into the crowd WHILE STILL PLAYING GUITAR, LALSDKFJ=SDF;LKJ. They opened with Selfish Jean, carried on with a couple others from The Boy With No Name and then went straight back to the oldies. The highlights for me were: Love Will Come Through (gooorgeous), Side, Re-Offender (THEY DID PLAY IT!), Good Feeling, The Beautiful Occupation, U 16 Girls and, of course, Sing, which got the crowd cheering from the moment the banjo achords first started. *g*

Then there was the encore: As much as I know it's already one of their usual songs, it was still a thrill to hear them sing Baby One More Time LOL LOL. Then they played just the first achords of Flowers in the Window and STOPPED and Fran said> "Britney always leaves me with a cramp in the hand. Er. I really shouldn't say that. Um. The SONG, not the person!" and I about died laughing. XD Then they DID play Flowers in the Window, which was ;LAJSDLSJF SO GOOD (the rest of the band was behind Fran and they played Fran's guitar while he was clapping, eeeeh!), then there were a couple more oldies and slow songs whose names elude me and then they closed with, what else? Why Does It Always Rain on Me? which got people all riled up and I couldn't care less about my aching feet because I was jumping too much. *3*

In all, it was fantastical, and they gave an amazing show. Just like with Yeah Yeah Yeahs, I liked them before, but I love them now. ♥

Also, I couldn't download Feeling Good before I had to leave for class yesterday so I'm listening to the ones I hadn't heard before right now and it's really good! Very different from the rest of their albums, and quite 90s-ish in sound, but really good.

Te lo dije :)

En Barcelona no cantaron Re-Offender ni en junio ni en septiembre, pero parece que el resto fue bastante similar (la de amigos que debe tener Claus en MySpace, lolz). Flowers in the Window es simplemente espectacular a cappella, eh?

Mira que los he visto veces (4), pero igualmente me das envidia &hearts

Jaja, claro, si el Claus ya es bien popular XD
Oh, definitivamente. Les salio bellisima. Y ayuda que es una de mis canciones favoritas de ellos. :)

Jaja, envidia me das a mi, mujer! Yo a la unica banda que he repetido es Zoe, y nada mas los he ido a ver dos veces. ;__;

Boo.)
