Today was a bundle of little bad stuff that just amounted for a big OMG WHEN IS THE DAY ENDING. Like, my new eyeliner fell down in the gap between the shower and the sink which we like to call The Endless Pit, the place that nothing ever comes out of; I hit myself on doors/door handles/walls/the triplay wood for Watercolor class/people. I had a headache. I walked a lot for nothing. I dumped half of the bluish watercolor water on my jacket. I almost 'lost' the parking lot ticket and was about to be charged 10 dlls for it (as in, I forgot to pick it up after I payed in the machine, *headdesk*), and then came home and dumped ANOTHER large amount of water over me. One of those days, you know.

And then I looked down on my desk when I came home and saw that my mom had managed to fish my eyeliner out of The Endless Pit and it was like, A RAY OF LIGHT. FROM HEAVEN. Seriously, It was the best thing that'd happened so far in the day and I immediatly texted my mom saying something like 'OMG MUMMY I LOVES YOU SO, SOOOO MUCH'. XD

But there were also good parts of the day. A friend from flamenco class is reading Deathly Hallows (the Spanish translation came out like, a week ago and I didn't even NOTICE, lol) and we fangirled about it and it made me lol because she's in no way involved in fandom, and yet she shares the Popular Opinion that Harry/Ginny = makes no sense whatsoever. In all honesty, I sort of made it my mission to like Ginny because no one else seems to like her. But I still find her a bit blah, and I'm guilty of shipping H/G only because, yes, it means YAY BIG HAPPY WEASLEY FAMILY. Er.

I was also thinking while driving (as one does) about how much I love the turn of phrases in Travis' Why Does It Always Rain on Me and I was wondering how the new album is going and whether they'll stop touring for a while after Dougie's baby is born and then I thought: 'WAIT. I DIDN'T SEE KELLY MACDONALD AT THE OSCARS.' but then again, the baby is born in March, right? So she must be sort of HUGE by now. Still, it would've been nice to see her, girl deserves more praise that she gets. And she's still part of the winner movie of the year, yikes.

AND ALSO. And because this song just started: The girl playing Shaz in Ashes to Ashes is named Monsterrat - how do the British pronounce that? Thanks to this particular song I think of this name and I think Argentina, but I actually know a bazillion Montserrats so I know it's not as exclusive. But. I honestly can't imagine it being said by a native English speaker. o_O

Ever since this little trend of mine started with the Libertines of getting obsessed with broken-up bands my source of happiness is that Travis is getting ready to record a new album! YAYZ. I'm so very excited, doubly so because it's mostly because Dougie's having his first baby in March, which makes me go AWWWWWW so fucking much, haha.

AND Dirty Pretty Things is kiiiinda ready to release their second album. YAY? I'd be more excited if I liked their first album better, in all honesty. BUT HEY. Babyshambles' new album was sort of fantastic and it was such a pleasant surprise, maybe it'll happen again now? (because in the same fashion, Down in Albion was made of suck, although Waterloo to Anywhere didn't quite reach that level of lameness.)

And now that I think about it, there hasn't been any worthwile news in the Libs fronts for a while, isn't it? Other than Carl's horrendous taste in pants (seriously what was he thinking? Those things made me yearn for the tight tight tight black trousers) and Pete's bad haircut and mention in VH1's 'best of 2007' because of the druggie kittens, there hasn't been much. I mean, no one's been sent to rehab (again), no one's playing in jails or being ditched by supermodels or doing anything interesting, boo. WE NEED A 'PETE AND CARL SHOP TOGETHER' SIGHTING. Just to get things interesting, lol.

Well, I was looking through travis_daily and wow, but Travis fans are really nice, aren't they?

It's just -- I'm used to the Libertines' fans (myself included) mocking the hell out of every single band member. WE MOCK BECAUSE WE CARE is sort of our motto, for christsakes. It's just sort of weird not to have people comment on photos with 'SO RUBBISH, LOL' or 'CHUBBY!*insert band member of your choice*! SUCH A CUTE BELLY!' or 'LOL THEY'RE ALL SO HIGH' or, the very much used, 'Oh, Pete. You'll never learn, will you?'. thelibs_daily PWNS, MAN.

DOES IT SAY A LOT ABOUT ME WHEN I'M WEIRDED OUT BY PEOPLE BEING NICE INSTEAD OF BITCHY?

I have a small confession for you. I haven't seen the last three episodes of SPN. And I don't really feel like it, either. *ducks flying objects*

I'll try and get on with it this weekend, but dunno. I've got a movie and two episodes of Shameless in my hard drive, so.

In true me fashion, I've been going through every single video/interview/single/whatever Travis has ever released, because I'm obsessive like that. This entry? I wasn't lying. I do get OCD like that. BUT WHATEVER. I'm having a rocking time, so who cares.

Other than that, the admition test for my college is tomorrow, so classes were suspended today since 1pm. OMG YAYZ. NO CLASS TOMORROW!!

( Well, y'all were right, because Travis was absolutely incredible in concert. :) )

In all, it was fantastical, and they gave an amazing show. Just like with Yeah Yeah Yeahs, I liked them before, but I love them now. ♥

Also, I couldn't download Feeling Good before I had to leave for class yesterday so I'm listening to the ones I hadn't heard before right now and it's really good! Very different from the rest of their albums, and quite 90s-ish in sound, but really good.
