HEE, NOOBS.

Well, I was looking through [livejournal.com profile] travis_daily and wow, but Travis fans are really nice, aren't they?

It's just -- I'm used to the Libertines' fans (myself included) mocking the hell out of every single band member. WE MOCK BECAUSE WE CARE is sort of our motto, for christsakes. It's just sort of weird not to have people comment on photos with 'SO RUBBISH, LOL' or 'CHUBBY!*insert band member of your choice*! SUCH A CUTE BELLY!' or 'LOL THEY'RE ALL SO HIGH' or, the very much used, 'Oh, Pete. You'll never learn, will you?'. [livejournal.com profile] thelibs_daily PWNS, MAN.

DOES IT SAY A LOT ABOUT ME WHEN I'M WEIRDED OUT BY PEOPLE BEING NICE INSTEAD OF BITCHY?

Not every Travis fan is like that, though... I just remember the nice old times on the official travis board changing song titles, I still have "I'm so happy when you're so crappy" stuck in my head... anyway, they did bitch at each other. I mean, Travis fans are a bit like Coldplay fans only sadder and more sarcastic, lol, wow, my prejudices.

that's sort of an awesome description, lol. XD

Yeah, I knew there was bound to be more, er, LOUD fans, but it really shocked me to see how nice people were in the comm. o_O (but considering how incredibly nice the BAND is, it's actually not so surprising)

Well, it's not really bitchy when it's done with love and good-humour, really, but yes, I agree: I am all for mocking the ones we love. XD We Mock Because We Care is my motto for my fannish life in general! Fandom's just too silly to be treated with complete seriousness, you know?

Haha, yeah, it's always healthier to be able to laugh at yourself and your addictions, hee. And really, they make it so EASY. That with Pete's crazy and Carl's rubbishness and Jawn's cheekbones, lol, and Gary's awesomeness and Stanthony's CLOTHES and Didz' belly. Really.
