Argh, I tried doing my dad's famous salsa, which includes a 'sofrito' (chopped onion sauted in oil), but to no avail. It was so bland. ;___; I must get him to teach me exactly how to fix it, because I loooove it like a burning thing. Speaking of: seeing the success of the enchiladas post, I'll be doing a taco version, haha XD

Well, it appears everyone and their mothers BUT me have seen the newest Torchwood ep. I just haven't felt like it, but I have to get on with it because that's exactly what happened last year: I saw the first three eps, didn't see Cyberwoman and didn't finish the series until six months later. But this time? This time I want to lulz with all of you guys. Yeah, cheap lulz are pretty much the only reason I watch this show. Which is okay, because that it does well.

And now for the SPN thoughts, with no spoilers whatsoever *shocked gasp* for S3.

girl!Sam vs. girl!Dean. MY PSEUDO META, LET ME SHOW YOU IT.

I'm talking of the Sam/Dean variety in here, by the way, so let me start that brother/sister puts me off so so very much and yet I sometimes make exceptions because damn but some of the writers in this fandom are talented.

And the gist is: If I have to be honest, I prefer girl!Dean to girl!Sam.

Even though we all know Sam has Dean feeding off his hand and has complete control over him, whether Dean likes it or not, something just feels... off, for me, when Sam is the girl. Like, Dean just has so much advantage over her, both the physical and the emotional, because four years of age difference is an incredibly long time as a teenager, and no matter how much Sam would be calling the shots, she would also be incredibly vulnerable. No matter how kickass would Sam still be, she'd still be treated as the baby in the family (especially as a girl, because John is just like that), so she'd have nowhere near as much experience and training as Dean would.

Now, Dean as a girl brings them to more equal footing, because while Sam would have a bazillion inches on her, she'd still be tough as nails, and would be able to kick Sam's ass four ways into sunday whenever she wants to. They still have almost equal parts of the physical and emotional advantage. Sam as a girl would have been spoiled much more than his male counterpart, especially by Dean. Dean wouldn't have. In the end, I think toenail polish and low-cut t-shirts notwithstanding, Dean stays more Dean as a girl than Sam does. And there's also the fact that this hits my older woman with younger man kink like few things can. Um. And would be one hell of a kickass girl and she'd still be slutty and daring and funny and would still care for her little brother more than any other thing in the world. Basically, she'd be AWESOME. And hot. Just like regular Dean is, actually, lol.

Argh, I don't think I'm doing a great job of expressing myself. ;____;

But yeah, this is very much a personal preference and my own personal view.

And now I want more Deangirl. I DEMAND SOME. I should also use this space to say that sazzlette's Deangirl ROCKS MY FUCKING WORLD. OMG. SO DAMN GOOD.
