Aw, man, I just finished Ashes to Ashes so of course I'm thinking of LoM and now Life on Mars? just came out in iTunes and DAMNIT BUT I'M TEARING UP.

2x06 is on tv tomorrow, and then it's only TWO WEEKS until I have to cry my eyes out AGAIN and in front of my parents to make it even more pathetic.

OH, SAM.

Proper review tomorrow.

OH, SAM indeed. While I liked Alex, she's no match for dear Sammy boy with his lovely angst.

(I'll say this, though: God help me, the Gene/Alex thing didn't make me gag as much as I'd anticipated. And I am a closet slasher, wary of romanticising Gene AND quite outspoken about my feminism - so I am rather puzzled about the whole thing XD)

No one can do angst like Sam. He was like, a pro at it.

I honestly can't imagine Gene with anyone, but yeah, I didn't mind it that much either. I'm not gonna start making ZOMG GENE/ALEX OTP FOREVERZZZ banners, but I don't think it'll make me want to hurt things, lol.

Funny thing about Gene - while I don't find him handsome or appealing in the slightest and his popularity with female viewers puzzles the hell out of me (there's no account for taste, but what show are they watching?)... I have no difficulty in believing Alex (or for that matter, Sam, though I never slashed them) would find him horribly attractive when he's right there on their faces making their (imaginary, delusional, fantasy) lives a living hell just by being his contradictory, infuriating self. Something about their oposing personalities sparking, but mostly the fact that Gene just radiates charisma - he seems unstoppable and irresistible in a way that defies political correctness.
