I finally made a dent in a Design project of mine, yay.

I ended up watching Ashes to Ashes yesterday, episode 1x07, and it was pretty darn good. Gene was, well, so raw and hard to watch, and the clown was creepy and I spent a large part of the episode with my hands against my mouth, I was gasping so hard. So yes, really nice, and I do hope the series finale blows me away. :) ♥

Oh! And I watched Born Under a Bad Sign and Tall Tales with my mom today! We've been watching S2 since Christmas, lol, and we're still not done XD Anyway the slow dancing alien? Cracks me up every. single. time. Oh god. So good. (this is S2 in best shape, I'd say, even if it never gets better than In My Time of Dying. Anyway, the THEN preview is all about Hell House and boy, do I miss Sam's floppy hair. ;___; It made him look so young and cute and wee and lovely. *sigh*)

And in other news, I'm itching to go to the movies. I haven't been in like, two weeks? More? It hurts, my precious, it hurtsss.

Well I'm all caught up now, yay!

Ashes to Ashes 1x06: YAY. So GOOD easily the best episode of the series so far - the dream sequences were so well done and it had fantastic photography and the plot was solid and interesting and oh wow. YES. SO GOOD. ♥

Really, the worst flaw A2A has? Having come after LoM. Sure, it'll never be as good or heartfelt as LoM, but it's a damn good show on its own (especially the last two episodes), and well, it just suffers in comparison, while it could stand very well on its own.

So yes, I'm one of those soulless people that say YAY FOR THE SECOND SERIES.

I'm finally catching up with my shows!

Ashes to Ashes 1x04 was really good - the show is finally getting its act together, and it shows. ♥

Then I saw Torchwood 2x09 - Something Borrowed and it was, surprisingly also pretty decent. Yucky Gwen/Jack aside (which burns with the awfulness, baby), everyone got to be competent and smart(ish) and TOSH WAS MADE OF AWESOME. YES. Just like Rhys. But when has Rhys not being awesome?

And now I'm off to wacth more Ashes to Ashes, yay. :)

(an in another news: I'm sort of bitter at myself because I didn't get to see ONE SINGLE MOVIE in the international film festival, argh. Last year I went to see two and the one before three, tsk tsk, me.)

Well color me surprised, but I actually really enjoyed episode 2 of Ashes to Ashes. It's still not as good as LoM, but at least it doesn't feel like a parody anymore, and it actually worked out pretty well. Also, Alex is sort of awesome and I love her, yes. (even if she did started being a bit pretentious. She's gotten better, though.)

So yayz all around. :)

You know who else was awesome? SHAZ AND CHRIS. HEE.

Aw, man, I just finished Ashes to Ashes so of course I'm thinking of LoM and now Life on Mars? just came out in iTunes and DAMNIT BUT I'M TEARING UP.

2x06 is on tv tomorrow, and then it's only TWO WEEKS until I have to cry my eyes out AGAIN and in front of my parents to make it even more pathetic.

OH, SAM.

Proper review tomorrow.

I still haven't seen Ashes to Ashes, but I intend to do so tonight. I'm partly excited because OMG THE GUV. AND RAY WITH A PERM. But on the other hand, I very much doubt it'll reach the sheer brilliance of Life on Mars. Mmm. We'll see.

Me and my mom finally had time to continue with our SPN S2 marathon, because zomg, but we're so behind. Last year we saw S1 in like, three weeks, or something... We saw Croatoan, Hunted, Playthings and Nightshifter, yay. Playthings was nowhere near as awful as I found it last year - there's still something that irks me about that ep, but it actually wasn't that bad. AND it has wet!Sam. Which is always a plus.

As much as I love Croatoan, though, I'm going a bit WTF about it. Like, slotted in the entire series? It's a giant, gaping plothole. When it first aired I just loved it and thought the virus would eventually come back and everything would make sense, and forgot about it. And it seems like the writers did as well. Okay, so Sam's immune, and even IF the entire virus was just a test (which sounds a bit contrived), just WHAT happened in there? *scratches head*

Nightshifter, though, continues to be made of SHINY AWESOME. AND THEN SOME. It's one of my favorite favoritest episodes of the entire series. :3 ♥
