HOW AWESOME IS LILY'S RED DRESS OMG I WANTSSSSSS IT.

I went ice-skating today! It was awessssome. I absolutely love ice-skating, but I hardly ever get to do it, which is sad. It started snowing a bit while we were in the rink, which was a bit surreal, and it's pretty much the only place in Leeds that still has small mountains of snow surrounding it, which is probably in purpose - it works a hell of a lot as advertising, haha.

I have just seen the trailer for the new Torchwood episodes, and I have to say it looks promising. ( one line spoilers ) It sound remarkably like a Who plot - Torchwood plots tend to be more... loltastic, say. Am not as excited with the thought of not actually watching it on tv - yeah, yeah, iplayer and everything, but. Still. Aaaah, I miss TV. Like, even back home I didn't watch that much tv, but it's a good thing to do in the afternoons when you have nothing to do and want your brain to shut down for a while (the perfect remedy is watching The Girls Next Door or something like it. It's incredibly trashy, yes, but incredibly entertaining as well, lol.)

One of my flatmates reminds me so much of Eve Myles. Which is weird, as she is Finnish. Huh.

Gossip Girl this week was incredibly boring Y/Y? Go back to being deliciously evil and sexy and Chuck/Blair-filled, show, PLZ PLZ. Pretty much, the shows I'm enjoying the most right now is HIMYM (Barneeeeey) and Fringe - I never hear any squee for Fringe in LJ but it's SO GOOD. Like, 1st season of Alias good. I've heard so many comments on how Lost is shiny again and I SORT of want to go back to it, but... S3 confused the hell out of me, yo. Before I stopped watching, that is. I haven't seen a single episode of Heroes for like five or six months. I don't even miss it, which is sad. I do mis S1, though. I'll force my mom to watch my DVDs with me during the summer.

Gossip Girl will have to come tomorrow. Ach, I was too busy today I didn't even get to read at all. ;____; And apparently I'll begin with Social Service TOMORROW (NOOOOO) which is supposed to be 4 daily hours until I'm done with all 480 hours. NOOOOOO.

Everyone went off to different parties and I'm home alone. It's weird, and the house is still new enough to be slightly spooky. Oh well.

I made two more stuffed birdies today! AND a pencil-case thingy for my brushes. I'm still not awesome at sewing, but I'm getting better, and having so much fun at it! :D I want to take pictures but my mom took the camera. Woe.

You know one of the things that make me love How I Met Your Mother so madly? Their awesome gender role reversals. How it's the GIRLS that are afraid of commitment, and how it's the BOYS that want to settle down and get married and have 2.5 kids. It is so AWESOME. (And then there's Barney, who is just awesome on his own, lol.) I'm at 2x15 right now, and loving every minute. :D :D

I'm reading Green Arrow/Black Canary right now, you know, the follow up to their wedding, and ZOMG BUT DINAH IS SO FUCKING AMAZING. EEEH. And Ollie is such a lovable jerk. If I have to admit it I started reading it for the art (which is just gorgeous, by the way), but I'm actually liking it a lot. Hee.

I'm craving tacos like you wouldn't believe. Friday night is tacos night in my house, traditionally, but my dad has been bitching about us never wanting to anywhere else for a while, so this weekend we went everywhere he wanted to. (We shall get our revenge for the next three weeks, mwahaha.) So anyway, this friday we went to a fancy Argentinian restaurant, which would've been awesome only no one wanted to share a vacio with me and I ended up with crummy pasta. Damn. Doesn't matter, though! Because our waiter was one of the finest male specimens I have ever seen. *fans self* (Buenos Aires Born. Oh God that accent. Yes please.) AND HE SAID SENCILLITO. AHAHAHA I NEVER THOUGHT I'D ACTUALLY HEAR AN ARGENTINIAN SAY SENCISHIIIITO. XDDD.

Other than that, I've been marathoning How I Met Your Mother's first season all afternoon long, and it's been awesome. Up to 1x15 now, and I'm so loving it.

My grandmother turned 82 today. She was so much better today - she actually said her age right; last year she said she'd just turned 70. She's been really ill as of lately, and I really doubt she'll live to turn 83. I feel selfish, wanting her to be here when I know she's suffering so much, but it's my grandma. Dunno.

I really thought my last post would be my last from a ciber cafe. Alas, it was not meant to be so. And the fuckers in the other, faster, ciber blocked LJ. Bastards. In any case, I'm connecting less and less - I'm not sure if I'm just becoming less obsessed with the interwebz or if I'm just too cheap to pay everyday. Huh.

I stumbled across a How I Met Your Mother marathon on tv last night, and completely fell for it. I'm no idea which season it was, and it took me a while to figure out who everyone was, but I intend to see it as soon as I can. I also just rented the first season of Eureka, yay. Let's hope I like it. (I was looking for HIMYM, you see, but they didn't have it. Aw.)

Okay, all of you FAIL because none of you told me Ultimate Iron Man was written by Orson Scott Card. I mean – dude, Orson Scott Card, A;SFJALSJF. So it was, obviously, rather fantastic – Blue Baby!Tony was adorable and Genious Wise-ass Teenager!Tony is brilliant. And Rhodey, zomg. And all the girls are capable and smart and awesome, which especially ticks my fancy. (And, of course, being this auther, all the kids were BRILLIANT.) There’s also the fact that the artwork for volume 2 is just gorgeous beyond belief.

I’m catching up with the entire Ultimate universe, and I’ve been reading The Ultimates (which is fantastic and layered and a wonderful rework of the Avengers, in all), and I about died when Nick Fury was talking about his broken nose (courtesy of the Cap, no less, lol) and saying that it was all right, that it’d been smashed more times than Robert Downey Jr. LOLZ. XD

I had a flamenco presentation on Saturday and now I have a sore from the stupid high heels in my right little toe. Ouch. it hurts.
