nekare: (Ergo Proxy - Real)
Ultimate X-Men update: I can't begin to say how much I loved Magnetic North. Not only the writing was flawless, but Steve Immonen might be my new favorite illustrator for X-Men (and can't they keep him? For like, for good? Pretty please?). It was beautifully drawn, and wow, his inker and colorist are wonderful too. The Story was great! All that lovely plot and so many mutants and so many different points of view - just wow. This one and 'Return of the King' are my favorite arcs.

I haven't gone to the movies for almost a week and a half. This is le sad, and I wanted to go today (to see anything at this point, although I do wanna see 'Monster House' and 'My Super Ex-girlfriend'). 'Thumbsucker's finally out, though, I'll try and go by myself in the week.

I read vol. 4 of The Sandman yesterday, and man, how awesome it is. Still not as good as vol. 2, but it was soooo well done.

I'm writing! I've only like, 300 words, but it's something. Ergo Proxy, though. Post ep 13 but taking some elements from ep 14.

I'm kinda stuck at the moment, though, so, so get my creative juices flowing (and doesn't that sound odd?), I'll write sentence-long fic to whoever comments with a fandom, pairing, and prompt. Go nuts.

And, uh, people I still owe drabbles to, I do still remember about it. They'll be written. Eventually. *cough*

Weeell here's the fic. While I like the magic in this, I still feel like this was pretty much plotless, but oh well, I was kinda hurried and stressed by the time I wrote this. And see, [livejournal.com profile] onadancefloor? Told you I kinda wrote for that challenge too XD

Linking to the actual com since I wanna keep all the reviews nice and pretty in just one place.

Title: Companionship Is You
Rating: PG-13
Word Count (for fic): 2048
Summary: June. Ditching work to have lemonade. Trying new spells in the empty Auror department. Life goes on, for Harry and Ron.
Author Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] shocolate for [livejournal.com profile] hpslashnotsmut, and to give credit where credit's due, it was partially written for the 'First Line Challenge' at [livejournal.com profile] harry_and_ron. Betaed by the lovely [livejournal.com profile] ltlredhairdgirl.

It really hasn’t been that long since they last did it, but Harry still presses Ron to the wall of the Ministry’s men’s bathroom..
nekare: (yearning)
Am back from being with all the cousins. We went and conspired so we could stay over at my Memo and Fer's house (since it was the later's birthday) as if we were ten year olds (Which kinda applies to Alex and Fer, now that I think about it...) and our parents all refused (flashbacks to my childhood!). It seems like I've spent all of Easter week with them, huh. I so heart them. :) Other than that, had a boring morning. I actually did a lot of homework *retches*

Meme!

The first 10 people to comment on this post get to request a drabble (real drabble: 100 words exactly) from you. In return, they have to post this in their journal and write a drabble for you. Post all fandoms you're willing to write for. (this is optional; you don't HAVE to do it in return, but it would be pretty spiffy if you did).

So go on, pick a pairing and a prompt. (and don't maul me if they're not 100 words long. All those numbers like 180 and 235 also deserve some love.) Fandoms: HP (duh), Doctor Who, Alias, Narnia, Nip/Tuck, Fight Club (humour me and pick it!), Howl's Moving Castle, Good Omens, Spirited Away.

I know I still have some other drabbles I promised to a lot of people, but those I'm reserving for inspiration someday later. Sorry!

I just realized the original for my [livejournal.com profile] remixredux is about 450 words. And the minimum words for me are 500. *growls* Oh well, I'll go and add a lot. Later. Because I've still haven't written anything else. And I didn't do practically any homework. *fails at life*

I went to see Memoirs of a Geisha today, and I loved it. The magic from the book was really well captured, and the pace didn't feel as hurried as it could have. The visual part... That was simply gorgeous. Too beautiful and too well done. *drools* the colors!! (why yes, I am a color whore.) I'm not that happy with the crappy accents one has to endure, and Sayuri's voice, especially bugger me a bit. It's too soft, somehow. But in all, it was really, really, good, and I wouldn't mind seeing it again. Brokeback Mountain tomorrow, if I'm lucky *crosses fingers*

Now, the most important part of the post: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO [livejournal.com profile] giventofly37!! Hope you have a wonderful time, hon!

And look! A present! Harry/Ron )

I like this one quite a lot, and I actually dreamt about this the night before (why yes, it was a nice dream). Apparently though, I fail at chritmacy vibes, 'cause this is angsty as hell.

All righty, here's the sixth of the Christmas gifts, crossposted to [livejournal.com profile] harry_and_ron (which is a very good community, by the way, be sure to check it out.) and beta-ed by the lovely [livejournal.com profile] why_me_why_not; whom I feel like I'm slaving out with so much fic. (and there's still a lot to go...)

Title: Hope Loss
Raiting: PG-13
Pairing: Harry/Ron
Word Count: 747
Author Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] giventofly37, whose promt word was mystery and her interest was music. Hope you like it dear, and I so swear I tried to make it fluffy, but well, one thing led to another, and well, the benning turned itself into angst.

Harry is the greatest mystery of all, Ron thinks as he bleeds into the old red couch that makes even his hair look washed out. )
