Okay, so I'm a dirty lier. Remember I said I'd download something of either Seven, Four of Five? Yep. So, what did I ended up downloading? The Aztecs. Which stars One. Yeah. *headdesk*

Thing is, I've always wanted and not wanted to see this one at the same time, because while I can't be called an expert in the Aztecs by any chance, well, things do tend to stick after 17 years of schooling and 'Let's Know Our Ancestors' classes (the most recent was in my History of Mexican Graphic, in which we studied Códices), so. I'm curious as to how they're going to represent the good old Mexicas.

And lol, the TARDIS makes everyone believe everyone's talking their own language, right? So I have this really funny image of the Doctor speaking Nahuatl, lol. XD (Which sounds AWESOME, btw - the last time I went to Guanajuato this pair of street vendors were speaking to each other in Nahuatl, and it sounded like motherfucking win, oh yes. One day, I'd love to learn it, even if I wouldn't get to speak it anywhere, lol.)

Well, I finished Remembrance of the Daleks yesterday, which was pretty cool even if I've never really liked Daleks all that much, but then again, what's not to like about Ace attacking them with a baseball bat? WHICH REMINDS ME. Ace = MADE OF WIN. Totes. As so is Seven, who has become my favorite Doctor after Ten, oh yes.

I also watched Dragonfire some days ago and it was okay, but not all that amazing. It is Ace's first adventure, though, so. Mel was nice but... sort of irritating? Her voice, especially. Her trousers were sorta cool, though. The... things on her hair were not. And wow, random goodbye much? o_O I dunno. She seems nice but too... perky, to tolerate for a long time.

Anyway, I have Survival downloaded and ready to watch but I'm not sure what I'll be seeing next. Yet more Seven? Some Four? Five? I want to see some of Five's serials, now that I think about it. Mmm... Rec me some serials, dear flist? Pretty please?

Also, a confession: Old Skool fans might come and lynch me, but I do prefer the structure of the new series. Four part serials just make the story become too slow at times, and cliffhanger after cliffhanger grows old. But oh well. Different times, different kinds of storytelling, I guess.

Aaaaaaand now I'm off to do homework because I've a bazillion things to do, ugh. ;_____;

While everyone and their mothers are watching SPN, I'm watching twenty-years old British television, LOL.

Also, YAY, DALEKS.

Aww, I just finished watching City of Death, aka: Four and Romana in Paris. For all its Doctor Who cheesiness, some of the dialogue was surprisingly good, and yay for time travel SRS BUSINESS, yes. I do love my paradoxes mindufuckery, yes.

I like Four's nonstop talking. I'd only ever seen two other serials of his, and I think I'll go looking for more once I'm done with my 'YAY, SEVEN' phase. Romana was lovely too - I love how bright she is, and how she takes it all in stride. Duggan, too, was LOVE. Haha, I so wanted him as a companion, he was so very funny XD

So yeah, me likes. I'll be watching Dragonfire tomorrow, and then I'll see what else I can download.

*happily goes away humming the Who theme song*

I kinda have a birthay party to go too but I don't quite feel like it. Ugh. Here's some Who thoughts instead:

I watched The Curse of Fenric and Battlefield yesterday and the day before and OOOOOH, ME LIKES. Especially TCoF, which was made of win. Seven'n'Ace are made of AWESOME. Wonderful awesome, even. They've so much chemistry together (be it romantic or platonic) and the Doctor's so very enchanted with her and she's so very obviously not taking any of his shit and SHE BLOWS STUFF UP. HAVE I MENTIONED SHE BLOWS STUFF UP? BECAUSE SHE DOES. AND IT IS AWESOME. And Seven. Oh, Seven. He's sweet in this really weird way (and mostly with Ace) and yet he's so very dark at times - I definitely see a shadow of him in Ten. AND LOL, ACE IS JEALOUS OF THE BRIGADIER XD (See? I knew the whole 'latest companion bitterness' was nothing new.)

The plots, well, they're Doctor Who plots, lol. So there's a lot of plotholes and weird stuff happening for no apparent reason and the four part structure does make it be slower than your usual tv series but they're still pretty engaging and The Curse of Fenric was somewhat creepy so oh well. I'm enjoying this 'yay, let's watch decades old television!' phase. I'm downloading Dragonfire and City of Death (that's Four and Romana II, though) right now and I'm all hyped up about it, lol.

Anyway, in music news, it's only now that I'm slowly immersing myself into David Bowie's discography that I see lots of references to his songs somewhere else. Like All time lows in Metric's Combat Baby, or Boy, could he play guitar in The Libertines' The Delaney, to name a few. (from Ashes to Ashes and Ziggy Stardust, respectively) It is pretty, pretty cool, as so is Bowie himself.

Speaking of which, um, does anyone have these songs? I've been trying to get them for days but alas, they refuse to be downloaded. I'd like: Diamond Dogs, The Heart's Filthy Lesson and The Man Who Sold the World.

Pretty please? *batts eyelashes*
