OH MAN. I'm tired. I sort of forgot I had to do a portfolio for the student exchange, and apparently the guy in charge is going to Belgium or something on Sunday and is passing through Leeds to drop the applications.

So, cue me, putting the portfolio together all afternoon long. Thankfully, UL asks for a very simple kind, just a .pdf of my work, so I just fancied it up a bit and burned it in a cd. If it'd been an ACTUAL porftolio, I would've DIED, lol. Anyway, I have to take it tomorrow to the guy's HOUSE, lol, because apparently he doesn't go to his office on weekends. SIGH.

I used watercolors yesterday for Design homework, it was so rad. XD I WAS going to scan them, but, you know, SCANNER DEATH. Or, rather, SCANNER SOFTWARE DEATH.

I finished late because I procratinated all afternoon long, haha, reading Alias which, sadly, isn't about spies, but is about a retired super hero, Jessica Jones, who turns into a private investigator and likes to say 'fuck' a lot. Brian Micheal Bendis is just a fantastic, fantastic writer, if very wordy, and Alias ended up being as good as everyone said. (Even if Secret Invasion is sort of disappointing me. Then again, Skrulls are NOT my thing. Mmm.) Matt Murdock cameos a lot. It is awesome. And Cap. And Luke Cage, already out of his tiara, lol.

AND THEN I WATCHED BONES. YAY BONES. Bones 4x01 - Yanks in the UK: ) I'M SO GLAD TO HAVE IT BACK, OH SHOW, NEVER LEAVE ME AGAIN. ♥

I spent most of my day driving my brother around. My life, it is so glamorous.

This interview by MGMT made my day. Man, but I like those guys SO MUCH - they're all weird and simple and like, SO OUT OF IT, haha.

I saw My Little Bride yesterday, which is a cute Korean movie about a high schooler that gets somewhat tricked by her grandfather into marrying his best friend's grandson. HIJINKS ENSUE. Thing is, it's like Goong redux, minus the political intrigue and the hot brooding asshole-y princes. GOD, I MISS GOONG. SO MUCH. Plus, the main actresses look really alike and the gal that played Chae-Kyung's weird heart-something holding also appears in here. HUH. It was still really cute, though, it made me laugh and squee a bit and it was perfect for my mood. So it's nothing extraordinary, but quite nice.

Other than that, WOOT, Iron Man fic is rea-dy (er, as soon as I think of a title, that is) for posting and I'm soooort of starting apocalyptical Booth/Brennan. YAY BONES. I just have to get this out of my mind, and then, then I'll be able to start on my [livejournal.com profile] apocalyptothon, seeing that I've finally figured out how to work that specific crossover. Good good.

Seeing that I was so stressed I made myself sick, I decided I needed a break. I still felt shity anyway, so I ditched today's only class and did nothing. It was glorious. I kinda keep on cringing at everything I still have to work on, but I really really needed it.

I am still somewhat in denial over the Bones season finale. I want. Um. To sort of forget about it? And to rewatch S2? ALTHOUGH THEN I'D PROBABLY CRY, OR SOMETHING? AAAH.

*cough* Okay, let's discuss books:

What I've been reading for the past month: Stephenie Meyer's The Host (Aka The Lulz), Julio Cortázar's Todos Los Fuegos el Fuego, Chuck Palahniuk's Fight Club and Truman Capote's Music for Chameleons. )

WATCH ME SPEAK IN SUPERLATIVES.

Bones 3x14 - Wannabe in the Weeds: )

IS IT NEXT WEEK YET?
nekare: (The Libertines)
I feel a bit cheated because while the shiny of saying YAY I OWN THE BOONDOCK SAINTS ON DVD will never stop being shiny, it didn't come with any extra material and it is automatically subtitled (in yellow. What is this, fucking 1994? Also, I like having the option of taking off the subtitles, thank you very much), but then again, it was about 4 dlls. I really shouldn't bitch when it was freaking 4 dlls, lol. I also got myself a pretty new t-shirt and walked around the stupid mall a bazillion times but couldn't find the damned radio shack. As my headphones are about to die a painful death, this is distressing, woe.

I think I will be buying S2 one of these days. Then I shall rewatch through Booth and Brennan's looks of looooove over and over again. AND IT'LL BE GLORIOUS.

Bones 3x12 - Baby in the Bough: )

I swear, this show reduces me to incoherent puddles of squee. *g*

SPN tonight, YAY!! So excited, guys. And meanwhile, here, some Bones fic to tide us all over until we get the uber cute episode of cute on Monday! YAY AGAIN. This isn't really the fic I set out to write (I was going for short and artsy), but in the end I think it suits the show better. So, this might be the start of a wonderful career in Bones fic writing? Not sure, but let's hope so. :D

Title: Lines (Make Me Want to Cross Them)
Word Count: 4375
Pairing: Booth/Brennan
Summary: When it happens, like it was supposed to because there has always been a certain degree of inevitability with them, it happens like this.
Author Notes: Betaed by [livejournal.com profile] sasha_davidovna, slight spoilers for 3x09 - Santa in the Slush.

When she was still in school, long before the Jeffersonian and Booth and trips around the world in search of corpses that wouldn’t abandon her like the living did, she couldn’t touch anyone without thinking of the bones beneath their skin. )

Bones 3x11 - Player Under Pressure: It was good, wasn't it? The plot was a tad obvious and all, but it was still interesting and OH, BUT THAT LAST CONVERSATION. SO CUTE. *melts a bit* Also, Angela was pervily awesome, haha XD And WOOT for today's wacky and gross experiments! :D :D oh, this show. It never fails to make me incredibly happy. Even if it has so many oozy dead bodies, lol.

You know, I refused to know what this Thursday's (OMG ONLY TWO DAYS LEFT) SPN episode is about, but I sort of CAVED because the way the CW is advertising it? OMG GOLD. SO MUCH. AHAHAHHA.

I've sort of been feeling like crap all day long - I was all geared up for flamenco class (long skirt, high heels, the works) and suddenly I was SO SO nauseaus ASIDE from a headache - I think I'm coming down with a cold. SO NOT FAIR. So I didn't go to dance class, just turned around and started homework. SIGH.

I went to see Elizabeth: The Golden Age today and oh, but it was lovely. I hadn't seen such stunningly beautiful cinematography in a while - every scene, ever color, every costume, is perefectly rich and detailed, and the lightening and camera shots just added so much to it. That was what mostly impressed me, although, as always, Cate Blanchett is a joy to watch, the same as Clive Owen. I know the film took quite a lot of liberties with the story, but it was still quite nicely plotted and paced, I'd say. In short: I really liked it. Now I really feel like watching Elizabeth again, it's been such a long time since I've seen it.

I also rewatched Bones' The Man in the Morgue and OH, HOW I LOVE IT. Partly because of the infamous 'Jesus is not a zombie' line, and partly because Booth and Brennan couldn't love each other any more, haha. I also watched Angel's Smile Time and LOL PUPPET!ANGEL. I WANT ONE OF THOSE. XD

So, new Bones and and Gossip Girl tomorrow, huh? YAYZ.

(I had a chorizo sandwich for dinner. It might have not been the best idea. Um.)
